I had a chance to meet Handry Satriago (CEO of GE Indonesia) last month and had the opportunity to ask him some education questions.
One of my questions to him was, "What kind of skills that my students should have to prepare themselves as global leaders in the future?"
He answered my question briefly based on his experience as GE Leader and share "The 5 Skills"

- Why & Why Not; Questioning is very important skill for students. Many of Innovations start from the word "WHY" and "WHY NOT". The challenge of changing impossible into possible.
- Reading "Book is the window of the world" so true for those who read and execute it. But students should have the skill of reading more than just reading books. Deeper than that they should have the skill to read situation and the most important is to read opportunity.
- Think Out of the Box The ability to think, see something and solve problem from many different point of views. In other word, teachers need to help students developing their creativity.
- Accept Diversity Global leaders will collaborate, work side by side, discuss head to head with many different background of people. Students should prepare themselves to accept diversity and respect it.
- Good Story Teller It means good communication skill. Students should be ready to communicate their ideas both in writing or spoken. Great ideas will be useless if they fail to communicate them well.
